ACEBSA Vendors That Are Re-Opening

As businesses adjust to the new ease of restrictions in stage 3 of Safer L.A., we are looking forward to safely start returning to some of our favorite places. Among them are several of ACEBSA vendors, all of which have implemented safety measures to ensure the safety of all their participants. Here are some places we are excited to be able to return to!
Aquarium of the Pacific
The Aquarium of the Pacific reopened their doors on June 14th and have set up the following safety protocols:
- All parties must have a timed ticket or online reservation before coming to the Aquarium.
- Everyone aged two and over must wear a face covering that covers their nose and mouth for entry and at all times, except when eating.
- All visitors will have their temperature checked before entry.
- Only parties under six will be allowed to enter the Aquarium.
- All family units will be required to social distance (6 feet) at all times from staff and other visitors.
- Hand sanitizing stations will be located throughout the Aquarium and near any touch area.
- Elevators will be limited to one family per use.
In addition, various areas and programs will be temporarily closed, including the Honda Pacific Visions Theater, Ocean Theater, Shark Lagoon and Ray touch pools, and Shark Lagoon children’s play area. Catalina Express
During the pandemic, the Catalina Express temporarily suspended service from their San Pedro and Dana Point terminals but continued to operate a very limited schedule from their Long Beach terminal. As they reopen all their terminals, here are some of the guidelines they have placed:
- All passengers and employees will be required to wear a face-covering or mask when in the terminals or on board the vessels.
- All passengers and employees must respect and adhere to social distancing in their facilities, standing in line to board and on board our vessels
- Plexiglass partition have been installed at the terminal check-in windows.
- Hand sanitizers continue to be available throughout the station, at their check-in counters, near the boarding area, along with soap and water in all their restrooms.
- They hired a third-party cleaning service that uses electrostatic technology to uniformly distributes disinfectant throughout the air and on surfaces.
- Their cancellation policy has eased, and passengers may change or cancel as long as they contact the call center prior.

Knotts Marketplace
Although Knott’s Berry Farm’s Theme Park has yet to reopen, their California Marketplace has is opening several of their popular services. The following areas have already reopened:
- Knott's Chicken Dinner Restaurant
- Starbucks
- Peanuts Headquarters
- Candy Parlour
- Marketplace Emporium
- Virginia's Gift Shop
- Chicken-To-Go
- The Knott's Berry Market and Bakery
- Cable Car Kitchen
- TGI Fridays
In accordance with state and CDC health guidelines, here are the new safety measures Knott’s California Marketplace is establishing to ensure the safety of our guests:
- All associates and guests must wear a facial covering, with the exception of eating.
- Hand sanitizer is provided at each cash stand for use by the cashier and guest and throughout the marketplace.
- Surfaces will be disinfected daily and sanitized frequently.
- Seating will be spaced out throughout the restaurants.
- Essential store locations will provide a dedicated shopping time for seniors and those in the vulnerable population.
- All associates are screened, including temperature and symptom checks before being allowed to work.
- Separate entrances and exits will appear at some store locations.
- Store occupancy is limited to less than 50% of the normal building capacity.
City Walk
Similar to Knott’s Berry Farm, Universal Studios Hollywood remains closed, but retail shops and restaurants on CityWalk have begun a phased reopening. Guests and vendors have been asked to follow the following safety and operational procedures:
- Temperature checks for all guests will be required upon their arrival.
- Everyone is required to wear face coverings.
- Each venue will limit capacity to help enforce social distancing.
- All high-touch surfaces will be thoroughly and frequently cleaned and disinfected.
- Select venues will be open for limited operations from 12pm - 8pm daily.
- Sanitation stations will be set up throughout City Walk and in stores.
